HVAC Excellence Education Conference: 2022 Prospectus

 

HVAC Excellence is excited to offer a new chapter in professional development, a hybrid conference. This means that participating organizations have more ways than ever before to connect with instructors. Meet conference participants during the in-person, face-to-face portion of the event, then continue to connect and educate them during with the online portion. This format allows you to reach more people than ever before.

 

 

Where: South Point Hotel, Casino, Resort and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada 

When: March 20 - 23, 2022, with exhibits open on March 21st and 22nd. 

Who attends? Those involved in training the current and future HVACR workforce. This includes but is not limited to individuals affiliated with community colleges, private schools, apprenticeship programs, high schools, labor unions, utilities, associations, manufacturers, reentry programs, and wholesalers.

What draws attendees to this face-to-face event? While people attend this event for many different reasons, key feedback says the number one reason is to gain information that guides the decision-making processes that keep their programs current and relevant. Instructors seek advice from industry experts in several areas, including equipment, controls, components, educational trainers, curriculum, software, applications, tools, test instrumentation, and refrigerants.

Why participate? Studies show that students often become lifelong customers of the equipment, tools, and technologies they are trained on. As such, you want to make certain the products you offer are incorporated into their training. While you could travel the country to meet instructors who can incorporate your products into their classrooms, you can save your resources by connecting with them at the conference. Think of your exhibit as a product learning center, where attendees can come to learn about the products or services you offer, see product demonstrations, get their hands dirty, and learn from you.

Exhibit Locations Update: We have worked with the hotel to ensure exhibits will be directly across from the classrooms. This will allow us to serve lunch in the exhibit hall, giving one more great reason for attendees to visit you.

Special Concessions: The participating organizations of the 2021 conference will have the first opportunity to secure space for the 2022 event beginning on April 15, 2021. Applications from participating organizations of the 2021 conference received and accepted by May 31, 2021, will receive 10% off exhibit space. Applications for new participating organizations/exhibitors will begin on June 1, 2021. (based on space availability.)

HVAC Excellence appreciates the suggestions that conference participants have shared. Based on these suggestions we are pleased to announce some changes to help improve the National HVACR Educators and Trainers Conference. Conferences can help instructors gain a great deal of knowledge and build new industry partnerships in a short period of time. However, they can be exhausting as well! To help alleviate the stresses of the long days many of you have come to know, we have organized classes to end by 4:30 P.M. each day. This  schedule  should provide more time to decompress and foster networking opportunities in the evening. Another change we are working on is to make the Exposition a little more fun. The Monday event will feature an open bar and Hors d’oeuvres, while the Tuesday and Wednesday events will feature lunch in the exposition hall. HVACR Education Exploring Uncharted Territories

In 1803, Lewis and Clark led an expedition into the Louisiana territory, which was recently purchased from France by President Thomas Jefferson. They did so, being fully aware that the expedition would not be easy but was necessary if future progress was to be made. Similarly, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, most people, like Lewis and Clark, found themselves in uncharted territories. From going to work, attending classes, and participating in conferences, all the rules changed overnight. The rules for HVAC Excellence’s   National HVACR Educators and Trainers Conference   also changed.
